Art Book Challenge

Through a group I’m part of I decided to participate in an Art Book Challenge – that is, take a DIY art book off your shelf and follow through each and EVERY project within the book. I chose Metal Craft Discovery Workshop by Linda & Opie O’Brien. Here’s what I learned …

  1. I LOVE working with metal.
  2. When you’re cutting never close the scissors completely.
  3. It’s a wonderful exercise to try and create a project that isn’t entirely to your own taste.
  4. I love soldered work but I truly suck at it. Practice. Practice. Practice.

  • hmm… great idea..so obvious! I have a STACK of DIY books, and if the art inside isnt to my taste, I tend to discard it. What a waste. Will get on to this right away.

    cheers,
