The secret life of …

…Beeeees.  This little piece is called, appropriately, "Beeeee", an homage of sorts to the bee. There has been much talk among agriculturists and apiarists alike of the devastation of the bee colonies – did you know that something like 60% of all food we eat is affected by pollination? Amazing! Well, if those farmers and beekeepers need some bees they should hang out here. Our fields and gardens are FILLED with the buzz of bees – did you know that the honey bee is only one of over 500 species of wild bees here in Nova Scotia?  Truly astonishing. But then you haven’t stood beside our currently in bloom PeeGee Hydrangea. I think each of the 500 is representin’!
