As mentioned in my previous post, the three words I chose were "clear", "saturation" and "point". I used a 5×6" piece of plywood as the base that had some textural paste on it. I gesso’d it black and then glued down a magazine image as background using a watery wash of Quinacridone Gold & Mars Black (aka Michael’s "Uszhhhhhhhh"). I then glued down the girl, and the three words. I outlined the girl and "clear" in Sharpie, adding some circles’n'lines with my Zig pen. I nailed in some brass wire brad nails on the word "saturation" and continued that theme with the lines on the top, bottom and one side of the board. I then coated the entire thing with GAC800 and once dry added 3 lines of brass wire. I’m really pleased with how it turned out.
With so few participants this week AND the fact that I am currently bogged down with a bunch of my own deadlines, I think the S-T-R-E-T-C-H Challenges might be put on hiatus for a bit. But hey! I’m entirely open to your comments. So if you feel you really need it continue, comment and twist my rubber arm.

Hi Jen. I just “discovered” your blog and I am amazed at your exquisite work. Thank you for the many inspirations and the challenge
Hi jen, I liked someones suggestion of having the challenges once a fortnight or even once a month, to lighten your load, But its up to you and
your schdeules. I’ll be here waiting for when youre ready for the next one! take it easy! I love the saturation point pic!
I thinkit says a lot about how a lot of us feel at times.
hugs krissie
that is a great piece. How did you pick your words? I just had a heck of a time finding some words for this. I just havent been able to do any art since artfest. but really need to get my stuff unloaded and organized.
Jen,
What a creative prompt you’ve offered here! And…your finished piece is
awesome! Thanks for giving the details of “how” you did it. I’ll have to add that
to my list of creative projects. I love trying new things…thank you! At some
point I’ll be back…I love challenges like this…and I have to strategically fit them
in.. Keep up the beautiful work..in your art..and your inspiration! Our world
needs it!
Keep shining…star!

what a gorgeous piece, jen. i love it!
Hi Jen, I tried to upload my challenge results on flickr but … well… I’m challenged, what can I say! I’m starting with this challenge and I’ll work backwards and see what happens when I’m done. Who knows, you may start it up again! Also I blogged the challenge.
Iknow I haven’t responded to any of your challengers Jen for reasons best known to me! BUT I have been watching and in wonder at the imagination of you all. Do continue if you can but as some of suggested give yourself more time and the challengers! once a month sounds fine who knows maybe I will submit one!
Hey there Jen
I really love the challenges you’ve been doing! I like not only participating, but also seeing what everyone else does too.
I do wish the challenges could continue. I understand that things are very busy for you, and if it is not a possibility i completely understand. What about extending the length of the challenges? Then maybe it would give you (and us participants) more time to do them? Like a month long challenge, or even bi-weekly? Would that work for you?
Hey I love that also. And when your ready to start up again I am ready. Will
keep checking your blog for your lovely art, which you will still be
posting I hope. I loved your challenges and felt very motivated by them.

Oh, man! I wish I had just made the time to participate…but I’ve been so busy….. Love what you’ve done, though.
You do what you need to do, Jen. Really…and if /when you decide to start up the challenges again, I’ll be ready!
NIce piece Jen! Love the color and texure!!
I’m going to miss the challenges!! Would every other week or maybe once a month be more workable? Just some thoughts out loud.
