So over the last 2 days my computer was being flaky and finally went *pfft* … losing everything on it. EVERY. THING. In this digital age, I feel completely cut adrift and … and … VIOLATED. What does this mean?
- The deadline for the Twisted Christmas deco swap will be extended until 4pm(AST) tomorrow (Tuesday).
- If we have corresponded beyond this website … I’ve sent you something … we’ve traded or otherwise communicated I’ve lost your information. And I’d like it back. Please! And YES! I mean YOU. My entire email database is caput. So help me feel less stranded and send me your email/snail mail address. Thanks!
- The new challenge I was going to post will have to wait until I return from FL on November 10.
Speaking of which, I’m leaving for Clearwater on Wednesday to watch son#2 as he competes in the 70.3 World Championships on Saturday November 8. If you’d like to follow along you can, if not, a few “Go fast” thoughts would be most appreciated. Cliff will kickass all on his own but a bit of Good Karma can’t hurt.

I'm really sorry this happened to you, it's awful I know. . I realise this is a bit like shutting the stable door but…
The best way to avoid the problem you've just had is to invest in an external/portable hard drive. Mine is 250G and it cost aroung $90. Every week you make a back up copy of all your documents. Once a month make a copy of your entire hard drive – there is free software out there which will do this for you. I use Power Quest Image Drive, but this is not free.
Should your main drive crash then you have a complete, fairly up to date copy which includes all your software and settings – you just copy the whole thing to a new drive and bingo! I keep four weeks worth of data on my external drive (delete one, then add one) and two copies of the whole drive.
Dontcha just HATE that?
