… my completed piece for Art Challenge #2. This is what you get to win folks. oooo! aaaahhhh! heh.

As I might have mentioned, the project was from the second issue of CPS from an article done by Lynn Whipple. I LOVE The Whipples work. Problem is, it’s so very distinctive. On my initial once over for collage material I headed for my old photos. VERY distinctive. So I took a step back and looked at what I needed. Four things. For 4 sides. So I started looking for “4s”. I noticed these wee repro cigarette cards that I’ve had kicking around in my “wee’s” drawer for yonks. They were all clowns and having just thumbed through my photo catalogues for another project, I immediately remembered these clown images.

Now those of you that might follow my artwork know that I don’t usually use oranges and reds in my work. Well, maybe as subtle underpinnings but certainly not as mainstays. But the combination with black? Awesome! Frankly, working with those 3 colours was worth the price of admission for me. LOVE this palette.

I’m offering this wee house as an incentive/bribe/token of appreciation to you for joining in the challenge.

I’ll make the draw on Friday morning from all the people that have commented and left links to THEIR Challenge #2 and I’ll announce the winner here along with Challenge #3. So be sure to check back on Friday and Happy arting!
