… All Hallow’s Eve everyone! If you read this via feedreader – and really who doesn’t these days?! – might wanna come check out the site for real. A little spooky decorating going on.
I’ve been crazy busy in the studio … finishing up TJ’s assemblage (photos to follow – I’m delivering it this weekend), almost finished Staci’s … no progress shots (what was I thinking?! obviously I wasn’t!) and a host of other pieces.
Here’s an award I created for our local triathlon club, the “Warrior Award” given to the person that participates in the most events (swim, bike and/or run) during the season.

BTC Warrior Award - detail
There are brass plates around the spindle that are removable which I engraved the winner’s name/year. It’s made of all recycled items: an old coffee cup hanger base, then lamp base, staircase spindle, top of round box, a pile of bones from owl pellets, “warrior” (okay. HE was purchased), skeleton head fashioned from a bit of sculpey, horse hair from one of our horses.

It created quite a stir at the ceremonies. Mostly I think from those that wondered what goes on in my head! I was asked how my dreams were? “Peaceful, I replied. “I purge all MY demons through art.”
Have a good weekend everyone!

Jen – the Warrior award is terrific. God what an inventive, creative and -what else can I add?) mind you have. I’m still adding to my box!
Thanks Mom. I think!
