Guess you could say I’m on a roll! I’ve finished the second Assemblage Challenge and just about finished my submission for Mary Lou Zeek‘s 100 Artist Show. Due in January. I know! I can hardly believe it myself!

First. Here’s Staci’s assemblage in progress:

I really enjoyed working with the circuit board and can see using more of it in the future. Very graphic. Very steampunk. And it cuts like a dream. (don’t tell Tom I don’t wear a mask!) After making the box, I realized right away it needed something else. But the inside I was pretty happy with:

What I’m realizing through these challenges is that simple, everyday items are imbued with power from their owner’s inclusion in this project. Whoddathunkit?! I love trying to untangle why something came to me, where, if at all, it needs to fit into the overall puzzle and then making the whole thing cohesive. Fun stuff!

The final exterior. With that little bit of something:

It will be packed up and sent on Monday, Staci! I hope you enjoy it half as much as I did creating it!

Oh! And one final thing! Take a look to your left … I’m adding new things to etsy in time for Christmas. Weeeee!

Thanks Karen. Circuit boards rock. I bet they'd be awesome in your copper works. Wonder if they'd imprint well? Could make a really cool pattern if they did!
