Seth’s The Pulse not only reflects our online mixed media (new media??) community but united The Bonegrrls (grrl, Lynne, myself) self professed lovers of all that is vertabrate. I received a package from grrl yesterday filled with goodies including this AWESOME roo spine. Yowza! My brain is already ticking along on how I will use it! And ladies? Know that your packages are winging their way West. Hope you enjoy their contents as much as I enjoyed putting them together.

Thanks so much for all your responses to my ponderings on future challenges. Guess what?!? You’re ALL winners.
Amanda, Sheba, Cody, Michele, Carla, Rebecca, Ronna, Cory and Dale (and hopefully I didn’t miss anyone!) … send me your snail mail address (even if you think I already have it … because I am OLD) via email (jen@jenworden.com) and I’ll randomly package up the jewelry and fire it off to you. Again, my thanks for your invaluable input and ideas!
September’s challenge will be posted later today or tomorrow …
… in the meantime here’s a little goofiness to satisfy my gal pal Ms. Lombardozzi, she of http://firstbornstudio.blogspot.com who wants me to list "6 unspectacular quirks of mine". This one’s fer you Denise!
- I can touch my tongue to my nose. Particularly useful when running. Ya. Okay. Definitely TMI!
- I can remember conversations … word for word … 20 years later.
- I hate - HATE - the sound of people eating. My middle son has the same afflication. Sorry bud!
- Sometimes I think I have super powers.
- I like to eat my lunch with a dessert fork - it feels like I have more on my plate even though I don’t.
- In winter I love to wear the same wool sweater day after day after day until it’s so threadbare that the extraneous paint and gel medium are holding it together. I had to pitch my sweater last Spring. I’m working on a new hoodie to replace it as we speak. Winter IS just around the corner you know.
Tell me one of YOUR unspectacular quirks!

It’s been crazy busy what with the Tour de France on, training and marshalling races that it’s taken me close to 2 weeks to get back into the studio to take photos of these final projects from last month’s book work-through.

Here’s the bird bezel filled with resin and antiqued with a wash of mars black and quinacridone gold. I think this was my favourite piece of all.

This bezel ring has a small computer chip inside then filled with resin and again, antiqued with mars black and quinacridone gold. It’s a bit clunky but I still like it.
I am now working on my series of 5 elements - after the confusion, I’ve chosen Earth Wind Fire Water Wood and Metal - as my five. They will be worked on simultaneously as they will work as one unit when finished so it might be awhile before I get around to posting any photos.
On another, completely different note, word out to my son, Cliff for his tremendous performance over the weekend coming in 1st in his age group and 27th overall (beating all the Female Pros to boot!) in the inaugural 70.3 Amica Rhode Island Ironman. He’s now headed for the World Championships in Florida this November. You make me so very proud, me boy!

Heading out to Son#1’s "Wings Ceremony" in Moncton. PLUS he’s taking us for a flight - weather provided of course - so I won’t be posting my challenge until our return sometime tomorrow.
My 3 words were taken right off the magazine cover: Clear, Saturation, Point. I’ve enjoyed playing. See ya’ll tomorrow!
Oh. And if you just can’t get enough of me … Stacy Alexander posted a most embarassing look at my work yesterday. *blush blush* Check out if you dare: Listen to my Art Beat.
