URBAN DECAY #4

Urban Decay #4 is now on EBAY - US$0.99 starting bid or "Buy it Now" for US$15.00. This one has much texture and is one of my favourites. Also doing some playing with a gesso technique whereby you use a sharpie to outline the main characters, shapes then fill in the areas with gesso. I did this magazine image as a test and it is SO much fun!
Then decided to revamp an older piece, "A Gathering of Crones". It was too muddy and didn’t make me sing. I changed the background, added crowns to the ladies but it still didn’t do it for me. So I figured, hey! give this technique a shot. Well! It is certainly revamped and makes me laugh! Not sure if this is the final stage but I sure am having fun with it!!

Now on EBAY … with a "Buy Now" of US$15.00 or starting bid of US$0.99. Am currently working on another large piece after the style of my "Images of Home" series for inclusion in the LUNENBURG ART GALLERY’s members’ area for the summer. It will be from a photo taken a long time ago of local fish shacks. I think it will be a perfect match for this touristy town!

For sale in the GALLERY, Gabrielle the fabric mache figure that I created in JACQUELINE’S class. I aged the inside of the wooden box using moulding paste, paper and paint, hung the angel via fishing line and attached the quote, "A ministering angel shall my sister be." (from Hamlet) on the base of the box. Also, Urban Decay #2 is on EBAY now.
