Art Something for the Month of October or Art Something MoFo!
A project that involves creating art everyday in October. As I make art most days anyway, I decided to further add to the challenge and not only create each day but finish one piece each day. I prepared for this project prior to October 1 by taking some previously created - and awful! - collages done on 140lb watercolour paper, cut them down to 5 x 4" and gessoed over the previous work. To some I further added a layer of Golden’s Absorbent Ground (Canvas) that I texturized using various tools - sequin waste, plastic mesh grid, canvas grid, circles and other stuff! I chose a theme for each week - Shoes, Houses, Chairs, Bicycles, Hands. These are the results. Click to view a larger version - posted on Flickr.
