These mini works of art are fun and quick - a sure fire way to give your creativity a jumpstart! The only rule is size : no bigger than 3½ x 2½".

Metal ATCs

The metal ATCs above were created as part of an Art Book Challenge … I’ve been wanting to play with metal! I started these with sheet metal cut into ATC-sized pieces then I used metal patina paints to get a bluish tint going on sort of evident in the bottom right hand ATC. I then afixed metal mesh using eyelets and glued vintage images to the face. Some paint and words plus my old friend ink pad additions and they were ready to be sent out into the world!

Love these ATCs Jen. Maybe we can put them in ATC Quartelry at some point?

Jen, I hope you don’t mind me asking, only I know you are into the ATC’s and would likely know. I’m just starting some now. My attempt to break the ice at this activity. But as I get started, they are fabric, I see that I like dangling threads around the edge. In fact, i might put beads on them.

Is that allowed? I’ve been browsing other sites, but all I see is a dimension criteria, does that mean absolutely nothing beyond?

I’ll trim it if I can get a sense that it’s not what you’re supposed to do.

I was thinking of doing some found art this summer, maybe I’ll save the dangles for that!

    Appreciate your thoughts.
    Gail
